Dry Beef Chilli With Garlic Rice

Ingredients:
For marination:
- 1 lb super thinly sliced undercut beef strips
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup ginger paste ( water only)
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- Salt and freshly crushed black pepper to taste.
For stir fry :
- 8-9 green chillies sliced
- 1 inch ginger piece cut into thin strips
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp White pepper or to taste.
- 1 tbsp chicken powder
For Garlic rice :
- 2 cups rice ( boiled and cooled)
- 3 tbsp chopped garlic
- 3 tbsp oil
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- White pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- Garlic chips and spring onions for garnish
Method
Method for beef chilli:
- Marinate the beef with all the ingredients and leave over night. Next day, deep fry the beef strips ( they don’t need to have colour) and keep aside in a wok to stir fry.
- Heat the wok with beef on high. Add the rest of the ingredients for stir fry and mix well till the beef starts to get some colour. Serve hot with garlic rice.
Method for garlic rice :
- Heat oil in a wok, add garlic and cook till brown, add rice and rest of the seasonings. Mix well and garnish with garlic chips and Spring onions.
