Chicken Shwarma Recipe

This is an Arabic cuisine, typically dealt as a main course. It’s very healthy & full of nutrition.
Ingredients:
FOR CHICKEN:
• 1lb. chicken boneless strips
• 15 Small green chilies crushed
• ¼ Cup olive oil (extra light)
• salt as per taste
• ½ tsp black pepper powder
• ½ tsp white pepper powder
• 3 crushed red button chilis
• 1 tbsp chili sauce
• 1 tsp soya sauce
• ½ cup water
• 6 pita bread
FOR SALAD:
• ½ Cup carrot julienne cut
• ½ Cup cabbage julienne cut
• ½ Cup capsicum julienne cut
• ½ Cup onion julienne cut
• ½ Cup cucumber julienne cut (soaked for an hour in 1 cup of vinegar then drained)
• ½ Cup tomatoes julienne cut
• 1 Cup chopped salad leaves
• ¼ cup lemon juice
• Salt as per taste
• ½ cup olives sliced round.
FOR SAUCE (TAHINI):
• 1 Cup yogurt
• 2 Cloves of garlic minced
• 1 Cup mayonnaise
• Salt as per taste
• ½ tsp crushed red button chilis
• 2 tbsp. chili garlic sauce
• A pinch of mustard powder
• 2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
METHOD:
FOR CHICKEN:
Heat extra light olive oil in a pan. Add green chilis, salt, black pepper, white pepper, crushed red chili, chili sauce, soy sauce and chicken strips and sauté well. Add water and stir well until water dries and chicken is done.
FOR SALAD: Mix all vegetables in a bowl. Add lemon juice, salt and combine well
FOR SAUCE:
Beat all ingredients for sauce gently.
ASSEMBLING:
On a PITA bread spread 1 tablespoon (heaped) tahini sauce, layer salad and chicken strips
Wrap and enjoy
You can use tahini sauce as a dip also.
