Whole grains have been shown to reduce your risk for stroke, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. They also help you with better weight maintenance and keep inflammation down in the body. Balancing your diet and adding in whole grains is a must for good health. Instead of using refined grains, switch to whole grains in your recipes. They are lower in fat and offer good sources of fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals.
