Gluten Free Pizza Crust Recipe
11/26/2019
This gluten free pizza crust is as good as any other pizza crust recipe so you don’t have to be in that specific diet to enjoy it!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of gluten free all purpose flour
- 1 cup of blanched almond flour
- 1 cup of warm water
- 7 gr of yeast
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp of butter, room temperature
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the warm water with the yeast and let it sit for about 5-7 minutes until you start to see a foamy mixture. It is important to use warm water not hot. If the water is too hot the yeast won’t react.
- In a larger bowl, add in the egg, room temperature butter and yeast mixture. Using an electric mixer, whisk on low speed until completely combined. You can also do this by hand.
- Sift in the two kind of flour, sugar and salt. If you just have/like one, feel free to use all the proportion with just one kind but using both give it a better texture.
- Start to stir the dough with a wooden spoon to combine the dry and wet ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
- In a flat surface, sprinkle some extra flour and knead the dough a bit to make sure all the ingredients are well combined.
- Extend the dough into a baking sheet, previously lined or greased, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- After that time, take the pizza crust out of the oven and start to assemble it with your favorite sauce and toppings.
- Bake the pizza again for 10 minutes or until you get a golden crust.
