Things You Can Do with Canned Pumpkin

This pumpkin pie is a favorite dish of most Americans and it is mostly prepared for the holidays and other occasions.

Serves: 8
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 55 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Canned pure pumpkin 1 ½ cups
  • Whole milk 1 cup
  • Egg 2 large
  • Maple syrup ½ cup
  • Baked pie crust 1 (9 inches)
  • All-purpose flour 1 tablespoon
  • Ground ginger 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
  • Kosher salt ¼ teaspoon
  • Sweetened whipped cream, for serving

Directions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Whisk together eggs and pumpkin in a medium bowl.
  • Add in milk, maple syrup, flour, ginger, cinnamon, and salt, whisk until all the ingredients blend well.
  • Pour this pumpkin filling into pie crust and bake for 55 minutes or until the center of the pie is just set.
  • Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve with sweetened whip cream.
