Stir Fry Shrimps with Fresh Basil

This aromatic recipe is made with all the healthy ingredients and it is also a fuss-free option for summertime dinner.

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 3 minutes

Ingredients:

1. 1 lb large shrimps, peeled, and deveined

2. 2 cups fresh basil leaves (about 1 bunch)

3. 6 garlic cloves, smashed

4. 3 Fresno chilies, coarsely chopped

5. 4 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided

6. ¼ cup sugar

7. 2 tablespoons fish sauce

8. 1 teaspoon kosher salt

9. Lemon wedges for serving

Directions:

1. Combine garlic, Fresno chilies, 3 tablespoons oil, sugar, fish sauce, and salt in a blender and blend until smooth.

2. In a large bowl add shrimps and pour garlic mixture over shrimps and toss to coat.

3. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes.

4. In a large nonstick skillet heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil over medium-high

5. Add marinated shrimps in hot oil (leaving marinade behind), and cook for 1 minute on each side or until lightly charred around the edges.

6. Remove pan from heat and stir in fresh basil leaves, toss vigorously until wilted.

7. Serve shrimps with lemon wedges.
